Errol Spence Jr. (23-0, 20 KOs), IBF Welterweight Champion, is bringing the truth and a world title home to Dallas, Texas. On June 16th, Spence will defend his IBF World Title against Carlos Ocampo (22-0, 13 KOs), at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
Spence's homecoming will be his first time fighting in the Texas area, since winning the IBF Welterweight Championship from Kell Brook in 2017. "The Truth," traveled to the United Kingdom to challenge Brook for his title in front of 27,000 fans.
In round 11, Spence would force Brook to take a knee from injuries sustained to his eye, winning the fight by technical knockout. In January 2018, Spence defeated Lamont Peterson by technical knockout in round seven.
Team Spence has long awaited the young stars return to Texas.
The Ford Center is located at Dallas Cowboys team headquarters just north of Dallas. When Spence and Ocampo meet it will be the venues first ever boxing headliner, holding a capacity of 12,000-seats.
