Gary Russell Jr (29-1, 17 KOs) successfully defended his WBC Featherweight Title, defeating Joseph Diaz by unanimous decision. Russell gave one of his career best performances, showing high quality boxing skill and knowledge.
Russell entered the ring with royal black and gold in Egyptian Pharaoh head piece.
Mr. Gary Russell Jr, brought his consistent jab, ability to control range and distance, early in the fight. At the half way mark, Russell seemed to be in control with consistent experienced ring generalship.

Joseph "JoJo" Diaz (26-1, 14 KOs) threw some of the harder shots in the fight, however, he could not find his consistency or target for most of the fight. Diaz, 25, showed promising fight and effort with the high quality WBC Champion.
