BATON ROUGE, La. — No. 10 LSU dominated No. 23 Texas A&M 35-6 Saturday night at Tiger Stadium, scoring 21 points in the third quarter and handing the Aggies their most lopsided loss of the Mike Elko era. LSU improved to 3-1 and 1-1 in SEC play, while Texas A&M dropped to 2-2 and 0-2.
Jackson Harris led LSU's passing attack with six receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns. His scores covered 16 and 57 yards, with the 57-yard touchdown coming on a fourth-down play early in the third quarter that extended LSU's lead to 21-3.
Sam Leavitt completed 17 of 23 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns with one interception, while Landen Clark rushed for two touchdowns. Dilin Jones added a rushing touchdown. Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed finished 10-of-26 for 106 yards and an interception, and the Aggies managed only six points.
LSU hosts McNeese on Oct. 3 before traveling to Kentucky on Oct. 10. Texas A&M returns home Oct. 3 to face Arkansas.
