LSU mens and womens basketball set for doubleheader in New Orleans
On December 13, both the LSU men’s and women’s basketball teams will take the court at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans for a doubleheader as part of the Compete 4 Cause Classic. The men’s team will face SMU, while the women’s team will go up against Louisiana Tech, a significant matchup for coach Kim Mulkey, who graduated from Louisiana Tech.
For the LSU women’s team, this game marks their third appearance in New Orleans during the 2025-26 season. They’re also scheduled to play at Tulane on November 17 and at UNO on December 7. The Compete 4 Cause Classic aims to motivate student-athletes to leverage their visibility to support and uplift underserved youth in the New Orleans community.
According to the event organizers, United Sports & Entertainment is collaborating with local groups to create impactful experiences that connect athletes with the city and leave a positive, lasting impression on young people in the area.
