For New Orleans, guard Jakevion Buckley paced the team with 12 points and eight rebounds in 30 minutes of action.
After building a 44-32 halftime lead, LSU opened the second half with a 15-0 run over just over five minutes, effectively putting the game out of reach.
The Tigers shot 43.7 percent overall (31-of-71) and drained 10 of 27 from three (37.0 percent). UNO, meanwhile, struggled offensively, making just 20 of 67 field goal attempts (29.9 percent) and 6 of 25 from beyond the arc (24.0 percent).
LSU will look to build on this momentum as it prepares for its next outing, while New Orleans will regroup after a tough road night in Baton Rouge.
