LA Rams Outlast Bears Miracle TD, Overtime...Advance to NFC Championship

The Los Angeles Rams survived a heart-pounding NFC Divisional Playoff thriller at Soldier Field, defeating the Chicago Bears 20-17 in overtime on January 18, 2026, to advance to the NFC Championship Game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Rams struck first in the opening quarter with a methodical 14-play, 85-yard drive capped by Kyren Williams' 4-yard rushing touchdown, but the Bears answered swiftly in the second with Caleb Williams connecting to DJ Moore for a 3-yard score and later adding a 48-yard Cairo Santos field goal to take a 10-7 halftime lead after Harrison Mevis booted a 32-yarder as time expired.

In the fourth quarter, Williams powered the Rams ahead again with a 5-yard touchdown run to make it 17-10, only for Caleb Williams to deliver a miraculous fourth-down touchdown pass to Cole Kmet with just 18 seconds remaining to force overtime at 17-17.

In the extra period, Caleb Williams' critical interception set up the Rams' game-winning drive, where Matthew Stafford methodically moved the chains before rookie kicker Harrison Mevis drilled a clutch 42-yard field goal to seal the victory and end the Bears' season in heartbreaking fashion.
