Saints Cruise Past Jets 29–6 in Week 16 Showdown
NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints snapped some of their season woes with a convincing 29–6 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome. The win improved the Saints to 5–10, while the Jets dropped to 3–12 in a game dominated by New Orleans’ offense and special teams. ESPN.com

The scoring began with a pair of early field goals — Nick Folk put the Jets on the board first with a 29-yard kick, but Saints kicker Charlie Smyth responded, tying it and eventually giving New Orleans a halftime lead with multiple field goals.
New Orleans broke the game open in the second half when Chris Olave hauled in a 23-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Shough, extending the lead and setting the tone for the fourth quarter. Smyth added two more field goals including a 50-yard boot, as the Saints padded their advantage. Another Olave score late put the finishing touch on the rout.
Shough finished with 308 passing yards and a touchdown, while the Jets' Brady Cook struggled against New Orleans’ defense, going 22-for-35 with one interception. New York’s offense managed just two field goals all day and failed to find the end zone.
The Saints’ balanced attack and efficient kicking game were the difference, turning what began as a tight contest into a comfortable home victory.
