The Bengals Escape With an Overtime Thriller, 43-36

The Cincinnati Bengals delivered one of the most entertaining games of the NFL season, defeating the Tennessee Titans 43–36 in overtime on November 1 at Paycor Stadium. Cincinnati appeared to be in control at different points, but Tennessee refused to go away, forcing the game into overtime after tying the score at 36 in the closing moments of regulation.

Joe Burrow delivered a spectacular performance, completing 38 of 48 passes for 462 yards and five passing touchdowns. He also became the hero in overtime, scrambling nine yards into the end zone to give Cincinnati the decisive touchdown. Burrow's performance placed him in rare NFL history, becoming just the second quarterback to record at least 450 passing yards, five passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in one game.

Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase were nearly impossible to contain. Higgins finished with 10 receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns, while Chase recorded 11 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. Tennessee quarterback Cam Ward also delivered a career-high 304 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Tony Pollard rushed for 117 yards and two scores. The Titans had opportunities to steal the game, but Cincinnati's defense ultimately made the stop that mattered.

The Bengals improved to 5–2 with their fourth consecutive victory now within reach. More importantly, Burrow, Chase and Higgins demonstrated just how dangerous Cincinnati can become when its offense is operating at full capacity. It was a statement performance, but the Bengals will need to carry that momentum into their upcoming international matchup against Atlanta.
