The Dallas Wings rolled past the Las Vegas Aces 96-66 on Monday night in Arlington, handing Las Vegas its second loss to Dallas this season. Arike Ogunbowale led the way with 22 points and seven assists, while rookie Azzi Fudd added 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting. Jessica Shepard nearly posted a triple-double with 15 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists. For Las Vegas, A’ja Wilson finished with 18 points and five rebounds in a rare quiet night by her standards.
Dallas took control with a decisive 23-6 run in the second quarter and never let the Aces back into it, building a lead that stretched beyond 25 in the second half. The Wings shot efficiently from deep, hitting 10 of 28 from 3-point range, and tightened defensively around Wilson, with Awak Kuier drawing the primary assignment in her first start of the season. The win pushed Dallas to 9-5, while Las Vegas slipped to 10-4.

“Our defense really dictated everything,” Ogunbowale said after the game, pointing to the Wings’ aggressive perimeter pressure and ability to disrupt Las Vegas’ half-court sets. Dallas also got a scare when Alanna Smith, still working back from a facial injury, aggravated her nose in the third quarter and did not return.
Dallas wraps up Commissioner’s Cup play Wednesday on the road against the Golden State Valkyries before returning home to face the Chicago Sky on June 20. Las Vegas continues its road swing Wednesday at the Phoenix Mercury, with a home matchup against Golden State next on June 21.
