Arike Ogunbowale scored a season-high 32 points and Jessica Shepard added a career-high 26 as the Dallas Wings defeated the Indiana Fever 91-85 on Thursday night at American Airlines Center. Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana with 37 points, while Caitlin Clark finished with 10 points and nine assists and Paige Bueckers had 13 points and eight assists.
Dallas took control in the fourth quarter after entering the period with a five-point lead. Mitchell’s 37 points included 21 before halftime, extending her streak to a WNBA-record 21 consecutive games with at least 20 points. Ogunbowale credited Kuier after the game, saying, “We definitely wouldn't have won without her.” Shepard, who also had eight rebounds and four assists, said she wanted to be more aggressive after the loss to Golden State and credited her teammates for finding her.
The Wings return to action Sunday against the Seattle Storm at 3 p.m. CT at College Park Center, beginning the final stretch of their regular-season home schedule. The Fever continue their road trip Saturday against the New York Liberty at Barclays Center in Brooklyn at 6 p.m. CT.
