Dallas Wings make statement defeating Indiana Fever, 107-104 in WNBA 30th Opener
The thirtieth WNBA season opened up with the Dallas Wings outlasting the Indiana Fever 107-104 on Saturday night. Both teams lit up the scoreboard, it was the first time two WNBA teams scored over 100 points in a season opener. 
Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings attack, pouring in 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting, dishing out 5 assists and 1 rebound. Paige Bueckers was smooth and efficient with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Jessica Shepard shined in her Wings debut adding 13 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals. The number one overall pick, Azzi Fudd, added a 3 pointer but played just 18 minutes. 
For the Fever, Caitlin Clark scored 20 points on 7-of-18 shooting, with 5 rebounds, 7 assists in 31 minutes. Clark struggled with injuries last season and visibly showed signs she's still being effected. Bueckers took Clark on the defensive assignment throughout the game. The Wings open the season 1-0 having won both preseason games against Las Vegas and Indiana. 
The Wings take on Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream on May 12.
