Bueckers, Wings Soar Past Clark and Fever in 95-80 Preseason Win
The Dallas Wings kicked off their 2026 WNBA preseason with a statement victory, defeating the Indiana Fever 95-80 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. In their first game of the exhibition slate, the Wings showed impressive offensive firepower and defensive intensity, building a commanding lead in the second quarter and never looking back.
Star guard Paige Bueckers led the flight with 20 points, including four three-pointers, in just 20 minutes of action. Bueckers efficient scoring and playmaking set the tone early and fueled the big second quarter run. Maddy Siegrist delivered a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, providing inside presence and rebounding. Aziaha James added 17 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, while Odyssey Sims contributed nine points, three rebounds, and four assists off the bench.
The Wings also got solid contributions across the roster, with the bench unit stepping up to maintain momentum. Rookie Azzi Fudd made her preseason debut, four points despite some early foul trouble.
Caitlin Clark led the Fever with 21 points, but the team struggled with 17 turnovers that Dallas converted into easy scoring opportunities.
The Dallas Wings start preseason 1-0, showcasing chemistry between returning veterans and new additions. The Wings will host the defending champion Las Vegas Aces, Sunday in Austin, TX.
